About the Book

Around the time of our daughter's birth, I kept a diary of our experience related to her congenital heart defect.  It wasn't until almost nine years later that I finally woke up to the fact that the diary could be quite helpful to other families like ours.  Having it stored away on my computer certainly wasn't doing anyone any good.

So I set out on a quest to self-publish the book and do whatever I could to make it available to those families that would be following in our footsteps.  As we look to others for success stories to give us encouragement for our family's future, I hope that our experience can provide some of the same for others.
